How HBi Auto collects, uses, shares and protects your information, and your privacy choices.

This policy explains what information HBi Auto LLC (137 S Park Place, Mocksville, NC 27028) collects through hbiauto.com, our apps, forms, phone lines and dealership, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It also covers our 911 Buyers, HBi Parts Direct and Wenk's Auto services when you reach them through our sites.
Information we collect
Information you give us. Your name, phone number, email and ZIP code when you ask about a car, unlock an inspection report, request a quote, book service, value a trade, sell us a car or create an HBi garage account. We also keep the details of your request: the vehicle, the options and protection packages you chose, your trade-in, saved searches, saved quotes, cars you own and offers we send you.
Forms you start but don't send. If you start a form on our website and leave before sending it, we may save the contact details you entered and the vehicle you were viewing so our team can follow up by phone or email. We won't send you marketing texts or emails unless you opt in.
Finance applications. Credit applications are completed through a secure lender or credit-application provider. Our website forms do not ask for your Social Security number, date of birth or income. When you finance with us, the information you give for financing is handled under the separate privacy notice you receive with your financing documents, as federal law (the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act) requires.
Information collected automatically. When you use our sites we record pages and cars you view, searches, photo views, calculator use, form starts and submissions, clicks to call or chat, and how you arrived (referring site and ad campaign tags). We tie these to a random session ID, your device type and an approximate location (state or city) based on your IP address. We use cookies and similar tools for this.
Information from others. Listing sites and lead providers that send us your inquiry, vehicle-history and valuation providers, transport carriers, lenders, and social or ad platforms when you respond to our ads.
How we use information
- To answer your request and work your deal, service visit, trade, sale or delivery.
- To send quotes, inspection reports, order updates and documents you asked for.
- To send marketing emails, and calls or texts if you agreed to them, about cars, service and offers. You can stop these at any time.
- To run, secure and improve our sites, measure which ads and pages work, and prevent fraud and spam.
- To meet legal, tax, title and recordkeeping duties.
Calls and text messages
If you check the box agreeing to calls and texts, we may contact you at the number you gave, including with automated technology. Agreeing is never required to buy, sell or service a car. Message and data rates may apply; message frequency varies. Reply STOP to any text to opt out or HELP for help.
SMS opt-in data and consent. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your text-messaging opt-in data and consent will not be sold, rented, shared or transferred to any third party, except to service providers that help us deliver the messages (such as our texting platform), or where disclosure is required by law. All other categories of sharing in this policy exclude text-messaging opt-in data and consent.

How we protect your information. We use safeguards designed to prevent unauthorized access, use or disclosure of your information, including text-messaging opt-in data: access limited to staff who need it, encrypted connections, and access controls in our databases and service providers.
How we share information
- Service providers who work for us under contract: website hosting and database, email delivery, our customer-relationship (CRM) system, phone and texting systems, payment processing, document signing, transport carriers and analytics.
- Lenders and finance partners, when you ask us to arrange financing.
- Advertising and analytics partners (such as Google and Meta) through cookies and pixels on our sites, to measure ads and show our ads to people who visited. Some state laws treat this as "selling" or "sharing" personal information. You can opt out (see Your choices).
- Within the HBi Auto group (HBi Auto, 911 Buyers, HBi Parts Direct, Wenk's Auto) to handle your request and keep one account for you.
- When required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business.
We do not sell your contact information to data brokers, and we never publish customer names, addresses or service records on our websites.
Your choices
- Email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
- Texts: reply STOP.
- Calls: ask the person calling, or contact us below, to be placed on our internal do-not-call list.
- Cookies and ads: you can block or delete cookies in your browser. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your information for targeted advertising.
- Your account: you can view and delete saved quotes, searches and cars in your HBi garage.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas and other states with privacy laws, you may have the right to know what personal information we have about you, get a copy, correct it, delete it, and opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. Some information we must keep by law (for example, records of vehicle sales, titles and financing).
To make a request, email sales@hbiauto.com or call (336) 810-8457. We will verify your request by matching information you give us to our records. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof of the agent's authority. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will respond within the time the law requires.
California residents: in the past 12 months we collected identifiers (name, phone, email, IP address), commercial information (vehicles of interest, quotes, purchases, trade-ins), internet activity on our sites, approximate location, and inferences about vehicles you may want. We collect it from you, your devices and the sources listed above, for the purposes listed above, and disclose it to the categories of recipients listed above. We "share" internet activity and identifiers with advertising partners for targeted advertising. We do not knowingly sell or share information of anyone under 16.
How long we keep information
We keep sales, title and financing records as long as the law requires. We keep leads and marketing information while you are a customer or prospect and delete or de-identify it when it is no longer needed. Website event data is kept in a form that does not identify you by name.
Security
We protect information with access controls, multi-factor sign-in for our staff, encryption in transit and at rest, and a written information security program under the FTC Safeguards Rule. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will notify you as the law requires.
Children
Our sites are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and for material changes we will post a notice on our site.
