Tire & Wheel Protection

The tires and wheels of your vehicle are the sole components connecting your car to the road, making them susceptible to road hazards such as glass, nails, potholes, and debris. Our Tire & Wheel Protection offers a comprehensive solution to safeguard them against both visible and hidden hazards, ensuring they remain in optimal condition.

Available exclusively for vehicles during purchase from HBi Auto, our Premier Tire & Wheel Protection coverage includes:

  • Tire replacement for structural damage causing air leakage due to road hazards (including run-flat tires) such as glass, potholes, debris, or nails; no plugging or patching
  • Wheel replacement if road hazard damage prevents proper tire sealing, causing air leakage or failure to maintain manufacturer-specified tire pressure
  • Towing expense reimbursement up to $250 per occurrence for covered road hazard damages
  • Costs covering tire and/or wheel replacement, including approved labor charges for mounting, balancing, valve stems, tire disposal, and taxes
  • A $50 deductible per replacement claim, irrespective of the number of tires and/or wheels being replaced simultaneously
  • Transferable coverage for a $50 fee upon private party vehicle sale

Our Tire & Wheel Protection Plan is an optional coverage plan that offers financial protection against damage to your vehicle's tires and wheels caused by road hazards. It covers repair or replacement costs, offers towing reimbursement, and can be transferred to a new owner if you decide to sell your vehicle during the coverage period.

Guaranteed Auto Protection (GAP)

Guaranteed Auto Protection (GAP) is an optional insurance coverage that protects vehicle owners from financial loss in the event their vehicle is declared a total loss due to theft, accident, or damage beyond repair. GAP coverage is designed to cover the difference between the actual cash value (ACV) of the vehicle at the time of the loss and the outstanding balance on the loan or lease.

When you purchase or lease a vehicle, its value typically starts depreciating as soon as you drive off the dealership lot. If your vehicle is stolen or totaled in an accident, your primary auto insurance will generally cover the actual cash value of the vehicle, which may be lower than the amount you still owe on your loan or lease. This difference, known as the "gap," can leave you responsible for the remaining balance.

GAP insurance provides financial protection in these situations by covering the gap between the actual cash value and the outstanding loan or lease balance. Here are some key features of GAP coverage:

  1. Protection from financial loss: GAP insurance helps protect you from significant financial loss in the event your vehicle is stolen or totaled, ensuring you are not left with a remaining balance on a loan or lease for a vehicle you no longer possess.
  2. Wide range of vehicles: GAP coverage is available for various types of vehicles, including cars, trucks, SUVs, and motorcycles. The coverage may also be available for both new and used vehicles.
  3. Compatibility with other insurance: GAP insurance complements your primary auto insurance policy, which typically covers the actual cash value of your vehicle in the event of a total loss.
  4. Flexible purchase options: GAP insurance can be purchased through various sources, such as your auto dealer, lending institution, or a third-party insurance provider. The cost and terms of GAP coverage may vary depending on the provider and the specific policy.
  5. One-time payment or installment options: GAP insurance can often be purchased as a one-time premium payment or rolled into your monthly loan or lease payments, depending on the provider and your preferences.

It is important to carefully evaluate your need for GAP insurance based on factors such as your vehicle's depreciation rate, your loan or lease terms, and your down payment. Additionally, it's crucial to review the terms and conditions of the GAP coverage, as there may be limitations and exclusions that apply.

Key, Dent, & Glass Protection

Key, Dent, and Glass Protection is an optional coverage plan designed to provide financial protection and convenience for vehicle owners by covering the cost of repairing or replacing keys, fixing minor dents, and repairing or replacing damaged automotive glass. These protection plans can be purchased through dealerships, insurance companies, or third-party providers.

Here are the main features of Key, Dent, and Glass Protection:

  1. Key Protection: This coverage typically includes the repair or replacement of lost, stolen, or damaged vehicle keys, including electronic key fobs and transponders. Some plans may also cover the cost of lockout assistance if you accidentally lock your keys in the car.
  2. Dent Protection: Dent protection covers the cost of repairing minor dents and dings on your vehicle's body without affecting the original paint finish. This is typically achieved using Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) techniques, which involve specialized tools and methods to remove dents without the need for repainting or bodywork.
  3. Glass Protection: Glass protection covers the cost of repairing or replacing damaged automotive glass, such as windshields, side windows, and rear windows. Depending on the plan, coverage may include repairing chips and cracks or replacing the entire glass panel if it is beyond repair.
  4. No Deductible: Most Key, Dent, and Glass Protection plans do not require a deductible, which means you will not have to pay any out-of-pocket expenses for covered repairs or replacements.
  5. Transferability: Some protection plans are transferable to a new owner if you decide to sell your vehicle during the coverage period, potentially increasing the resale value of your vehicle.
  6. Convenience: These plans provide a convenient way to address common issues like lost keys or minor dents without incurring significant costs or having to file claims through your primary auto insurance policy.
